We are enjoying our new reading series. We follow somewhat of a schedule each week as lessons are presented. On Mondays we learn the vocabulary for the week, introduce the theme of the story, and write our spelling words in the assignment notebook. On Tuesdays students will get a spelling homework paper, and we also start our story for the week. On Wednesday we finish our story, take a practice spelling test. Students also take home their reading book to share the story at home. On Thursdays we read a related selection the the story. Each day we also do a grammar lesson. On Fridays we take our weekly assessment test, grammar test, and spelling test.
