Students who have taken the 30 hour classroom course may take their permit test once the have reached the age of 15.  This test is given at the following locations:

Monday:  Windom              

Tuesday: Worthington     -    all day

Wednesday: Luverne     -    approximately 9:45- 10:30

Thursday: Pipestone

Friday: Slayton          -     approximately 9:45- 10:30

 

Once the student has passed the permit test, they may start driving with a licensed driver.  The student is to have  at least 30 hours of driving time of which 10 hours is night time driving. Once the student has had six(6) hours of driving with a certified Driver's Education instructor,  their permit for 6 months and  reached the age of 16 they may take the driving test.  Those students who are eligible for a farmer's permit may take the test before they are 16 years of age.  This student is from a family who has tax papers showing they receive income from farm work.
